Screws

I absolutely love my large backpack and get loads of compliments regarding it. It’s the right size to carry my laptop so it gets a reasonable amount of use. I have (inevitably!) misplaced the spare screws we were sent away with. A couple of weeks back, after surviving a year, I lost one of the screw heads attaching the lid to the bag. I reached out to customer services and had a long spiel back about the micro vibrations and movements that cause the screws to loosen. I already understood why, I wasn’t looking for an explanation, just a “yes, we sell spares”. I was sent a link but following the link took me to a page where the large backpack screws were dashed out (unavailable). I asked if any of the screws in the medium backpack set would be suitable. The response: they didn’t know if the screws would be suitable and didn’t know when the screws would be back in stock, supremely unhelpful! I want to carry on using my bag and actually, right from the very start, I never had any plans to change it so I deconstructed the bag in order to measure the screws (10-11mm/ 12-13mm) and I’ve ordered rivets online so I can permanently fix the bag together and have no future concerns about it coming apart. I did suggest that a permanent option should be available at the workshops but this wasn’t acknowledged in the response. The bags are great, the workshops are great, but having it come apart is a real dampener on the whole thing! I’m just glad the large backpack back straps are sewn into the main body of the bag so they won’t come undone with the screws. My friends medium satchel started falling apart within a couple of days of making it. My Aunt got my cousin’s wife the workshop experience for her birthday and I’ll be offering to rivet the bag for her so that it doesn’t come undone!

Wish I did not keep needing to buy these. Price is reasonable but shipping is $20 to Canada, and does NOT combine with other items in the store. Always out of the large backpack ones too. I do love my bag, but I've had to order parts, or email to ask for new parts so often. I hope I don't lose a handle as I have been told replacement handles and straps don't ship.

I love, love, love my backpack, but I'm having a hard time keeping it together. After making it in the workshop (and even having the instructor tighten everything for me) the screws keep popping out and the straps are barely hanging on.

I've already used all of the replacement screws that were provided and still need more. After reaching out to customer service, I was told that the backpack was designed so the hardware is not necessarily permanent and that replacement screws are currently out of stock. Unfortunately, they've been out of stock for quite some time, which has been very frustrating.

As a result, I haven't been able to use my backpack because I can't keep it assembled. Is there a trick to getting the screws to stay secure and preventing them from coming loose? I absolutely love the backpack and would really like to use it, but right now it seems like I'm constantly replacing screws and running out of options.

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I lost one of the straps of my bag somewhere while out shopping. The screw must of been loose. Tried to call to see if I could order a replacement and id pay postage . Was told no they dont ship , the gentleman was very helpful at all. Love the bag but this has spoilt it.

Like a previous reviewer mentioned, I took the handbag class (April 2025) and I absolutely loved the class, the teacher and the shop! I also have no idea where I put the replacement screws so I am happy it has been so easy to order what I need!
