Welcome to Islander.

Born in Edinburgh and rooted in a love of distinctive design, quality materials and Scottish craftsmanship, Islander creates bags, footwear and accessories designed to bring character to everyday life.

Our story began in 2010, when we launched as Snow Paw UK, specialising in Harris Tweed® footwear and accessories. As the business grew, so did our ambitions, and in 2020 we became Islander UK.

Rooted in Scottish Heritage

Harris Tweed® has remained an important part of our story. Woven by hand in the Outer Hebrides, its rich textures, colours and unmistakable character have inspired many of our designs. We work with this heritage material alongside contemporary shapes, colours and details to create pieces that feel both distinctive and easy to wear.

Traditional craft with a modern twist

Today, Islander is about more than the products we make. From our stores and workshops to our growing collection of bags, shoes and accessories, we want to create experiences that people remember and pieces that become part of their everyday lives.

The Islander Workshop Experience

Perhaps our most unique expression of this is the Islander Workshop Experience, where you can choose your own colours, tweed, straps and finishing touches before constructing your very own Islander bag with guidance from our workshop team. It’s a chance to get creative, learn about Harris Tweed® and leave with something that is completely your own.

From our Edinburgh roots to our growing presence beyond Scotland, Islander continues to evolve, bringing together heritage, creativity and modern design, one piece at a time.
